TERMS AND TOUR INFORMATION
All tour times are the length of the ACTUAL TOUR, additional travel time for pickup and return trips will vary depending on your location.
We highly recommend ACCOMMODATIONS in the Hilo area. HOTEL pick-up is offered in the HILO area only for most of our tours. If you are staying in Kona or outside of Hilo, we will arrange to meet you at the Hilo Mo'oheau Bus Terminal. We provide pick-up in Kona for the Historic Kona and Kohala Adventure tours only.
For CRUISE SHIP passengers, we pick-up at both Hilo and Kona ports and will adjust tour times as needed to accommodate your ships time in port.
For a one DAY TRIP to the Big Island, please make your travel arrangements to and from the Hilo International Airport and provide your flight details at time of booking.

TOURS AND TRANSPORTATION
Mauka Makai Adventures specializes in personalized small group and private tours of the Big Island. Please contact us directly for private tour requests.
All tour rates include transportation, applicable entry fees to national and state parks, snacks and bottled water. Lunch is provided for the Volcano Adventure & Zipline Volcano tour. An opportunity will be provided for all other tours to purchase a meal along the way. Please bring a rain jacket and wear sturdy walking shoes.
Transportation is provided in either a 6-passenger mini-van or 14 passenger full-size van, both clean and comfortable rides. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult. ALL participants must be accounted for at the time of booking regardless of age. NO lap are children allowed. Hawaii state law requires child safety seats for children 0-4 years of age and child booster seats for children ages 4-7 years of age. Requests for safety seats will only be accommodated at the time of booking. If children do not have proper seating pre-arranged we may not be able to accommodate them on the day of the tour.
