What We'll Do

Travel the scenic Kohala coastline while scouting for humpback whales (during the winter months). Visit King Kamehameha’s sacred temple Pu’ukohola Heiau National Historic Site and his birthplace in the quaint town of Hawi.

Walk through an ancient fishing village and learn of the Hawaiian way of life. Take in the varied landscape as you travel through rolling hills of active ranch lands. At the end of the road view the beautiful Pololu Valley from the lookout above or opt to hike the steep trail down to the valley floor where a black sand beach awaits.
